If by chance there is a zero percent chance of rain (and therefore dbl points) for the 2/28 Folsom race, i might just do the one on the 27th and the Fresh Tracks 5k on the 28th.slowrunner77https://www.blogger.com/profile/11965601824664643361noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20554645.post-59710045980017006132009-12-14T10:43:55.778-08:002009-12-14T10:43:55.778-08:00Thanks for the (most kickass) review!

Although I imagine it is water resistant as well.rustyboyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15066704534173026199noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20554645.post-85745376389853347352009-12-13T09:48:25.192-08:002009-12-13T09:48:25.192-08:00Turi - good point about the data. I didn't mention it since I never had that experience (because it never got wet) but it's something to be aware of.

Steve - Are you sure they had cell phones in 1985?? Maybe car phones... :)

Donald - Thanks. It definitely looks pretty sleek, but eventually I hope they'll find a way to get it to adjust more comfortably on a smaller wrist.

Amber - Something to add to your Christmas list! Also, Wilderness Running Company *may* be giving away one of these on their website sometime soon, but that's still a question mark, so don't quote me. Still, couldn't hurt to keep your eye out on their site.Gretchenhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01132576974564001603noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20554645.post-73826892473113362632009-12-12T18:43:26.907-08:002009-12-12T18:43:26.907-08:00I want one! So it's been quietly sitting in a drawer...SnowLeopardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02063850027177277537noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20554645.post-3145528408222013702009-12-11T14:57:50.109-08:002009-12-11T14:57:50.109-08:00Very well done - great review! I wholeheartedly agree on the battery life issue, but Garmin made a big step in the right direction with the new 310XT, which is waterproof as well. They're getting closer to satisfying ultrarunners, for sure. Glad you're enjoying your cool gadget.Donaldhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13588564145315857856noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20554645.post-58712191156259469282009-12-11T08:14:39.764-08:002009-12-11T08:14:39.764-08:00I prefer the clunky predecessor, the 305. Longer battery life and larger display - which is easy, as it's as big as a 1985 cell phone.SteveQhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/16943650844671498074noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-20554645.post-16058906039013019042009-12-11T04:17:22.777-08:002009-12-11T04:17:22.777-08:00Excellent review, as always, Gretchen. It does hold a LOT of data, but if you're in the middle of a run when it "fills up," it kind of freaks out. Happened to me a couple times...Turi Beckerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00921132089888300525noreply@blogger.com
